The research focuses on the development of knowledge, methods, and tools for materials design aimed at environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The activity addresses sustainable materials selection, Life Cycle Design approaches, and circular economy principles, with particular attention to bio-based, recycled, and circular materials. The research also investigates the role of materials in shaping product perception and influencing consumer behaviors and practices towards more responsible consumption patterns. Activities include the development of design methodologies, participation in national and international research projects, and collaborations with industry stakeholders,



fostering the transfer of research outcomes to companies, institutions, and society
Italian or foreign applicants, who have a PhD or equivalent qualification, obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to selection process. In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 12, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
