illycaffè is an Italian company founded in Trieste in 1933 with the mission to offer the best coffee to the world. We are looking for a Jr Coffee Chemist to join our Scientific Department.

The Jr Coffee Chemist will support applied research into innovative extraction techniques and analysis to detect chemical compounds in coffee.

What will you do:

- Sample preparation with extractions: LLE, Soxhlet, SDE etc.
- Use of liquid chromatography instrumentation: LC coupled with MS mass spectrometry, HPLC.
- Recording, analysis and interpretation of data obtained from experiments with a view to producing internal reports, patents and scientific papers.
- Statistical analysis and chemometrics.

Requirements:

- Master's degree in Chemistry or CTF or PhD in Chemistry ( preferred Analytical Chemistry).
- Minimum experience in LC-MS on food matrices.
- Statistical analysis and chemometrics.





The company applies the National Collective Labor Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Alimentare Industria). The gross annual salary ranges between € 28.000 and € 30.000 and is determined according to objective and neutral criteria, linked to the requirements of the role and the candidate’s profile, in line with the principles of fairness, transparency, and equal opportunities.
