If you enjoy getting to the root cause of problems, working hands-on with machinery, and finding better ways of doing things, you'll feel at home here. /p pThe Role /p pAs a Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of the maintenance team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the plant. Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help improve reliability across the site. /p pYou’ll work closely with colleagues on shift, ensuring machinery is maintained, repaired, and ready to perform when it’s needed most. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 pbWhat You’ll Do /b /p ul liCarry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment /li liDiagnose mechanical faults and identify the root cause of failures /li liDismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and components /li liOrganise maintenance activities efficiently, including selecting and checking spare parts /li liPropose practical improvement solutions and preventative measures to reduce downtime /li liComplete maintenance records accurately using Maximo CMMS, including hours worked, parts used, and technical notes /li liSupport larger maintenance activities where multiple technicians are required /li liMaintain tools, workshop equipment,
and maintenance areas in good order /li liFollow all site safety procedures, regulations, and safe working practices /li liUse and store PPE correctly at all times /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbAbout You / What You’ll Bring /b /p ul liProven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment /li liStrong hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults /li liExperience using maintenance tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively /li liConfidence reading and interpreting mechanical drawings /li liGood problem-solving skills and a practical, methodical approach to maintenance /li liBasic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diagrams /li liBasic welding capability /li liExperience working with CMMS platforms such as Maximo would be beneficial /li liMechanical qualification or degree is highly valued /li liA team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed /li liComfortable working shifts and participating in an on-call rota once fully trained /li /ul pbWhat You’ll Get /b /p ul liPermanent opportunity with a well-established international manufacturer /li liStructured training and development to build your technical knowledge and site expertise /li liShift-based working pattern:
