This role is ideal for a designer who understands the deep connection between clothing, character, and storytelling — and who brings refined aesthetics, artistic sensitivity, and period-inspired creativity to the table. **Key Responsibilities**:
Creative Direction & Concept Development
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to translate the emotional and narrative elements into costume concepts.
- Support moodboard and visual research for story and character design development.

- Create clear design sketches (hand-drawn or digital) reflecting the Victorian-inspired aesthetic.
- Develop technical packs and basic specs for sample development. **Fabric & Material Sourcing**
- Identify and suggest suitable fabrics, laces, and period-appropriate materials.
- Collaborate with suppliers or sample makers as needed. **Sample Creation & Fittings**
- Work with pattern makers or tailors to develop prototypes.
- Attend fittings (in-person or virtual) to ensure final garment flow and proper fit for actors. **Visual Storytelling Sensibility**
- Research historical fashion silhouettes and cinematic costume references.
- Balance accuracy with cinematic beauty and the emotional tone of the scene. **Who We’re Looking For**
- Degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, or similar creative discipline.
- A strong,
story-led portfolio showing completed designs or previous narrative productions.
- Familiarity with historical references and period aesthetics
- Strong sense of fabric behavior, draping, and garment movement on camera.
- Comfortable working on emotionally sensitive, mood-based briefs.
- Proficient in digital sketching tools (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop) or traditional sketching.
- Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset, able to contribute within a creative production team. **What We Offer**
- The opportunity to contribute to a highly cinematic, narrative-driven project.
- A collaborative, emotionally rich creative process.
- Visibility in high-end print, film, and digital media.
- Flexible hours, remote-first culture, and project-based opportunities.
- The potential for ongoing collaborations across future productions. **To Apply** Please respond to this listing via Indeed and include: - Two short sentences on why you'd like to work with us.
