Role Overview

As a Field Service Engineer [Customer Engineer] you serve as the direct liaison with customers, collaborating closely to install, maintain, and upgrade equipment. You’ll use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess and address technical issues. Your responsibilities include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various systems such as electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma,



hydraulic, and gas systems. Additionally, you coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

Accelerate Your Career

We are offering a Fast‑Track Graduate Program for Field Service Engineers in Europe. The 6‑month program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry. In this role you will acquire an insight into different areas, whilst building a valuable international network. Upon completion of your training, you will be based in Agrate Brianza (MB) or Catania.

Field Service Engineer – Responsibilities

-

- On‑site installation and support of advanced electro‑mechanical and electronic wafer fabrication production equipment.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team.

- Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination of the systems.

- Work across technologies such as Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, information systems or related field, or recent graduation.

- Proficient in English and Italian.

- Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and ability to build trust.

- Judgement based on data analysis of multiple information sources.

- Problem‑solving ability to restore machine operation.

- Effective communication skills for explaining complex information and building consensus.
