We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients. /p pFor the expansion of our Italian team within Developed Markets, argenx is looking for a Medical Science Liaison bin North Italy with focus on Lombardie region. /b /p pbPURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION /b /p pThe Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based expert on argenx’s scientific data, products and trials, responsible for engagement with medical stakeholders at centers across the region but also with patient groups, policy makers and government payors. The MSL will represent and reflect argenx’s values as a science-driven, patient-centric organization. The MSL is critical in understanding the management of diseases of interest, mapping the patient journey, identifying unmet medical needs, data gaps and areas of collaboration. The MSL will work closely with the regional team, the International Medical Affairs team and cross-functionally with all relevant International colleagues. While the focus will be on the region, the function will also support activities and projects across the other regions. /p pbRoles And Responsibilities /b /p ul liExpert medical resource and argenx ambassador /li liMaintain the highest scientific and medical expertise of all relevant diseases and, products; be acknowledged internally and externally as an expert. /li liIdentify and develop productive relationships and collaborations with all relevant stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, professional organization. /li liSupport the development and implementation of Medical Affairs plans to advance argenx objectives. /li liSupport market access activities and any healthcare policy efforts across the region. /li liHelp shape the position of argenx in the region. /li liMaintain a high level of knowledge of and appropriately implement current local pharmaceutical regulation and ensure implementation of argenx policies and procedures. /li liScientific/medical exchange and education, and insight generation /li liEnsure timely and informative scientific/medical exchanges with external stakeholders that accurately reflect scientific data.



/li liDeliver high quality scientific/medical education in a variety of settings, including related to diseases of interest, clinical studies, investigational products and any future licensed products. /li liObtain feedback that can be disseminated throughout the organization. /li liCoordinate the timely and appropriate response to internal and external Medical Information enquires, utilizing argenx medical information resources and in line with regulatory requirements. /li liAttend appropriate local, national and international meetings and congresses to gather intelligence, develop productive collaborations, engage in scientific exchange and ensure insights are shared within argenx. /li liCross-functional collaboration /li liEnsure a close working relationship with all argenx functions /li liSupport cross-functional teams to ensure operations are patient-focused, including rapidly responding to internal and external requests to discuss specific situations and challenges and provide medical affairs support to all stakeholders. /li /ul pbSkills And Competencies /b /p ul liEntrepreneurial spirit and ability both achieve results independently and partner with colleagues across functions and geographies. /li liStrong influencing skills to be able to engage effectively with stakeholders and within the company. /li liAbility to quickly understand: /li licomplex disease areas, treatments and clinical development plans /li lihealthcare landscape, hospitals, healthcare professionals, patient journey /li lithe broader healthcare policy context including especially market access processes. /li liDemonstrated ability to build productive collaborations with medical experts /li liExcellent communication skills: verbal, written and when giving presentations /li liProven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targeted objectives /li liAbility to work collaboratively and effectively together within cross-functional teams and networks /li liDemonstrated communication skills, within a multi-cultural and multi-lingual global environment /li liIs agile and demonstrates adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, trust-building, and resilience /li liDerives energy from operating in a dynamic, complex, fast-moving, and frequently changing business environment /li liDemonstrable experience with project management, proactive planning, priority setting,

This includes being comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a diverse environment. /li liPassionate and prepared to lead and contribute to our culture, which is driven by our corporate values of co-creation, innovation, empowerment, excellence, and humility. /li /ul pbEducation, Experience /b /p ul liScientific, healthcare or medical degree (MS, PharmD, PhD, MD, RN, PA) /li liAt least 2 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry (Medical Affairs) or in academic research (e.g. PhD, postdoctoral research), or as a practicing physician in a medically relevant field /li liClinical experience in neurology, immunology and/or rare diseases is an advantage /li liKnowledge of regulations and practices related to industry interactions with healthcare professionals /li /ul pbOther /b /p ul liValid driver’s license /li liAbility for ≥50% travel /li liPreferably located in Lombardy, Italy, or open to relocation to the region, as Lombardy is the main area of focus for this role. /li /ul pThe annual base salary hiring range for this position is €76,000.00 - €104,500.00 EUR /p pThis job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentives program. /p pThe hiring range displayed above is the range of possible base pay compensation that argenx believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting. The hiring range is based on the job grade for this position.
