ph3Job Description /h3 pbAre you looking for your next opportunity? /b /p pSompo has a unique opportunity for a bSenior Underwriter Cyber /b in our bFinancial Lines /b team Italy. /p pThis role will work closely with the Italy Financial Lines Manager as well as the Continental Europe Line of Business Head for Cyber Insurance focusing on the development and expansion of our client and broker relationships, as well as supporting for the acceleration of profitable growth and retention in achieving profitability targets, in line with our local, regional and global strategies. /p pAdditionally, the role will require acting as a company ambassador in the marketplace and with other external stakeholders, seeking to develop and maintain relationships with these key constituents and influencers. /p h3Location: /h3 pThis position will be based out of our bMilan /b office. We strive for collaboration which is why we offer a work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers. /p h3Our business, your impact, our opportunity: /h3 h3What you’ll be doing: /h3 ul liContribute to the growth and profitability of Sompo International Cyber portfolio by actively sourcing submissions /li liAnalyse questionnaires, submissions, policy wordings, technical reports to assess exposures /li liAnalyse underwriting information and ensure appropriate terms and conditions are secured in line with the Sompo Cyber Underwriting Strategy /li liMeet and negotiate with clients and brokers to build relationships and to develop new and renewal business /li liContribute to build a well-diversified and balanced book in terms of risk profile and segmentation /li liPerform contract negotiation, attending and travelling to client meetings, presentations to customers and conducting underwriting reviews /li liDevelop, launch and maintain local language Cyber product versions for the Italian market, watch local market and products developments /li liBe responsible for underwriting document filings, accuracy of data entries to systems and contract integrity for accounts underwritten /li liEffectively interact,



communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners (such as Distribution, Claims, Risk Engineering). /li liSupport marketing efforts, creating high quality, original solutions to enhance the reputation and market presence of Sompo International. /li liFocus on other value add projects, developments, and activities, as required. /li liRepresenting Sompo International externally at the highest-level including interests with the press and relevant internal external shareholders, in commercial negotiations and/or through participation in industry forums, corporate communications events, etc to raise Sompo International’s profile within the market place. /li /ul h3What you’ll bring: /h3 ul li3+ years of experience working in underwriting position in Cyber in Italy; wider experience is a plus. /li liDeep technical knowledge of Cyber exposures. /li liStrong expertise in international Large Corporate risks underwriting. /li liGood network within the Italian broker and inhouse risk manager Community. /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills. /li liThe highest levels of integrity. /li liTeam player /li liGood understanding of economic relationships, business models in the insurance industry and knowledge of strategy development. /li liRecognizes opportunities and approaches new trends with an entrepreneurial mindset. /li liGood understanding of the insurance regulatory environment in Italy and its influence in business development, underwriting and claims management strategies /li liNaturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasively. /li liLanguage skills: Italian,
