Lio Factory is an investment platform building and funding financial businesses designed to endure. The Group is led by Francesco Marini, Founder and CEO and, to date, operates in 4 different sectors: 1) Special Situations: focus on bankruptcy liquidation proceedings and legal claims through the investment platform Lio SSG
- Real Estate: direct investments in niche segments of the real estate market through the investment platform Lio Capital 3) Infrastructure: investments in data centers and renewable energy through the investment platforms Lio Energy and Lio Data Center

LIO SSG, a subsidiary of LIO Factory, is the investment company of the Group dedicated to illiquid special situation investments with a superior risk/return profile. Typical investments:
- Bankruptcy procedures (concordato fallimentare) aimed at exploiting value from the investment through the arbitrage between the disposal of the illiquid assets of a bankrupted company vis-à-vis the acquisition value of its liabilities;
- Acquisition of secured and unsecured NPLs in the context of bankruptcy procedures
- Cherry picking of illiquid assets owned by bankrupted companies
Within the Special Situation investment team the candidate will have exposure to:
- An existing investment team working on Italian special situation transactions with an hedge-fund like approach; - Performing in-depth sector and sub-sector research using multiple sources.
- Developing detailed investment theses and helping to proactively identify investment opportunities.
- Building financial models and analysis.
- Undertaking financial and commercial due diligence on transaction execution.
- Supporting current portfolio management.
- Developing investment briefings and memorandums in conjunction with and for the senior members of the team.
- Contributing to the decision-making process as part of a flexible team.

Required Skills
Candidates must have a demonstrated passion for the Alternative Investments space, with a focus on distress situations.
- Strong academic credentials (BS/BA/MSc from highly regarded institution)
- A previous internship experience (6+ months) within the Corporate Finance, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Restructuring and consulting industry
- Strong Interest for the investment activity, with an interest in distress situation
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and creatively
- Sophisticated analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong work ethic, resilience, and a proactive attitude, with a willingness to go the extra mile when needed Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent MS Office skills (mainly Excel and Power Point) Compensation: 1,000 – 1,200 depending to the profile + lunch vouchers
