Experteer Overview As a Software Engineer at Kong, you will help build and maintain high-performance API connectivity software, including the Kong Gateway Operator and Kong Ingress Controller. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver features that scale across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments. You’ll contribute to design decisions, write well-tested Go code, and engage with the open-source community.

and DevOps to build features and foster internal relationships Contribute to system component design and articulate trade-offs Debug and solve problems within the codebase following defined procedures Engage with the open-source community under senior guidance Responsabilità ~1-2+ years of professional software engineering experience ~ Proficiency in Golang (or strong proficiency in C/C++/Java/Python with willingness to learn Go) ~ Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and concepts (Pods, Deployments, Services, CRDs) ~ Ability to deliver routine work with general instructions and handle new projects with detailed guidance ~ Experience writing unit and integration tests ~ Strong learning mindset, self-awareness, and growth-drive ~ Good communication and collaboration in a distributed, remote-first team
