A bit about Field To reach Net Zero, we need to solve big problems. At Field, we are showing that batteries are a totally viable part of our energy infrastructure - now, not in some distant future. With a strong financial foundation and an extensive portfolio of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Italy, the UK, Germany, and Spain, we are actively driving the energy transition.
Our most recent fundraising secured a £200 million investment from CVC DIF to accelerate our international growth and build a global BESS portfolio. Field has been operating in Italy since September 2022, with an office in Rome that has grown to a team of 12 over the past two years, and is set to double in the next couple of years. It's a group of specialists with diversified backgrounds – spanning project development, grid, origination, permitting, legal, strategy, finance, and electrical and civil engineering – bringing collective experience across 3+ GW of photovoltaic, 1.5+ GW of onshore wind, and 500+ MW of OCGT plants developed and constructed in Italy, alongside the origination of 3+ GW of BESS.
That mix of deep Italian renewables know‐how and fresh BESS expertise has translated into a strong, diversified pipeline from North to South of Italy, with 400 MW expected to reach Ready‐to‐Build status in Q2 2026 and more than 1 GW of additional BESS capacity already in planning. Field's Italian office in Rome is looking for a project manager – permitting to work side‐by‐side with the Lead of Project Development of Field Italia to manage the authorisation process for battery storage assets in Italy. Manage and monitor the entire authorisation process for our battery storage projects and the related infrastructures for connection to the grid / RTN.

Proven experience in securing secondary permits (building permits, environmental clearances, and grid connection agreements) following the primary authorisation such as AU and PAS. Deep understanding of technical‐administrative requirements to clear conditions precedent (prescrizioni) required by local authorities and environmental bodies.
Experience in performing site surveys, geotechnical assessments, and preliminary constraints analysis to ensure project buildability. Strong track record in managing relationships with local municipalities, landowners, and utility companies to secure Right of Ways (RoW) and land easements where required. Expertise in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (legal, technical, and environmental) to ensure all pre‐construction compliance standards are met.
