MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Role The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and industrialization of mechanical components and assemblies for the company’s products.

The role will work closely with R&D;, Electronics, Firmware, Software, Industrialization, Production, Quality and Supply Chain, supporting the entire product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to series production.

Responsibilities

- Design mechanical components, assemblies and systems using 3D CAD software.
- Develop technical drawings, specifications and bills of materials.
- Support the definition of product architecture and mechanical solutions.
- Perform feasibility studies, tolerance analyses and material selection.
- Create and test prototypes, evaluating functionality, reliability and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with Electronics and Software teams to ensure correct integration of mechanical and electronic components.
- Support Industrialization and Production during the introduction of new products.
- Manage design changes, product updates and technical documentation.
- Investigate mechanical issues and define corrective actions.
- Support cost-reduction, standardization and design-to-cost initiatives.
- Work with suppliers on component development, technical specifications and validation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety and product requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and project meetings.
- Maintain product data and technical documentation within the company’s systems.

Requirements





- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Previous experience in mechanical design, preferably within industrial, manufacturing or technology companies.
- Strong knowledge of 3D CAD and 2D technical drawing tools.
- Ability to read and produce technical drawings, tolerances and bills of materials.
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and mechanical component design.
- Familiarity with prototyping, testing and product industrialization.
- Knowledge of PLM and ERP systems is considered an advantage.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to travel to suppliers or company sites is available when required.
