EVbee is a fast-moving EV charging start-up with big ambitions: becoming one of Europe’s top 3 EV charging brands within five years. As we expand our activities in Italy, we’re looking for a motivated Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our technical team and support charging stations for electric vehicles, battery storage systems, and renewable energy solutions.
This position is also suitable for first-time candidates with a technical background and a strong willingness to learn. You’ll follow a structured path of technical growth and internal training, working mainly remotely while collaborating with installers, customers, service partners, in-house technical teams, and international suppliers. This role will be reporting to the Technical Support Manager - Italt.
What you will do
- Provide remote technical assistance on AC/DC EV charging stations, battery systems, and related platforms.
- Analyse anomalies, failures, and technical reports to support accurate diagnosis and resolution.
- Read and interpret logs, manuals, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.
- Support installers, customers, and service partners with configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical questions.
- Manage tickets, collect relevant technical information, and document issue status and follow-up actions clearly.
- Support device configuration, remote diagnostics, monitoring, and basic testing activities using service tools and software.
- Provide on-site support at plants, customer sites, installers, or technical partners when required by operational needs.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams, R&D;, and international suppliers to investigate root causes and coordinate solutions.
- Prepare clear technical notes, reports, and feedback to help improve products, procedures,
and customer support processes.
What you bring
- Technical diploma, ITS qualification, or degree in electrical, electronic, electrotechnical, mechatronics, renewable energy, or a related field.
- Interest in electric mobility, energy, batteries, EV charging systems, and new technologies.
- Good ability to read electrical diagrams, manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, with strong technical reasoning skills.
- Good analytical skills, precision, curiosity, and a strong desire to learn and grow in a technical role.
- Good communication skills in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working mainly in smart working, with availability for occasional travel or on-site activities when technically required.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-moving, international environment.
- Experience, in technical assistance, troubleshooting, installation, or maintenance of electrical systems is considered a plus.
- Basic knowledge of EV charging systems, inverters, BESS, batteries, photovoltaic systems, or energy monitoring platforms is considered a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical measuring instruments and structured troubleshooting methods is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of protocols or systems such as OCPP, Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, or monitoring platforms is considered a plus.
- Experience with ticketing software, CRM systems, or customer support workflows is considered a plus.

- RAL: €30K –€38K gross per annum (depending on experience)
