Contessa is found within The Phoenicia Malta, which is located a minute away from Valletta’s City Gate. Elegant and atmospheric, the restaurant’s chic colonial décor carries a hint of Singapore’s Raffles, particularly evident in the old iconic wooden ceiling fans and ornamental décorative chandeliers. The light-drenched, refined interiors of the historic building’s classical and art deco ambience together with the breath-taking harbour views & sunsets from the conservatory terrace setting, overlooking the expansive gardens and Marsamxett Harbour, is the ideal place to escape the noise of the everyday.

The elegance of the restaurant’s ambience is complemented by elevated dining, celebrating Southern Mediterranean culinary heritage. The menu features dishes offering a range of delicate to hearty flavours, all of which are prepared using the best of local produce and seasonal products. The seafood plateau is divine, as well as the whole seabass, served either grilled or al sale.

For dessert, the Marsala Tiramisu prepared tableside is a wonderful option. They also offer a specially designed trolley service for aperitivo and digestifs. Offering the freshest ingredients and great flavours while surprising and delighting each guest with a relaxed atmosphere and genuine hospitality.
