Role Description The Fashion Studio Intern will support the design and production teams with day-to-day studio activities in a contract, on-site role located in the Florence, Italy Metropolitan Area.
Already based in Florence, Italy, and available to start immediately or at the beginning of September.
Responsibilities may include assisting with sample preparation, organizing materials and trims, supporting fittings, and maintaining an orderly studio workspace.
The intern will help with basic pattern and garment adjustments, fabric sourcing, and preparation of mood boards and collection references. The role may also involve documenting design processes, preparing items for presentations or lookbooks,
and coordinating with vendors or internal partners under the guidance of senior team members.
Qualifications
- Strong sewing skills, including both machine sewing and hand stitching , with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Advanced draping skills and confidence working with luxury fabrics and couture-level construction techniques.
- Basic knowledge of pattern cutting and garment development.
- Foundational understanding of fashion design principles and garment construction, ideally gained through relevant studies or professional training.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in handling samples, materials, and studio tasks.
- Comfort with visual research, mood board creation, and trend exploration to support the creative direction of collections.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to take direction and work respectfully in a studio environment.
- Proficiency with common design or presentation tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or similar) is an advantage.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a willingness to learn, with a strong motivation to grow in the luxury fashion industry.
- Flexibility to support the team during brand events, pop-ups, and special activations, assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure a good customer and brand experience.
