Within our Investment & Engineering team , part of Operations, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge machinery used in the production of power and telecommunications cables. In this role, you will play a key part throughout the entire lifecycle of industrial projects—from concept and design to installation, commissioning, and production start-up—working in an international environment and collaborating with teams across the globe. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will: Define electrical specifications for machinery and equipment used in cable manufacturing processes.

Design and develop solutions involving electrical systems, automation, power electronics, drives, and control systems. Evaluate and select suppliers for electrical panels and automation solutions. Support the installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment in Prysmian plants worldwide.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, reliability, and operational efficiency. Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and robust engineering solutions. End-to-end project ownership: You’ll have the opportunity to lead complete engineering projects, from development and design through to commissioning and production start-up.

Work within a truly international organization, interacting with colleagues, suppliers, and manufacturing sites across multiple countries and cultures. Gain deep expertise in advanced manufacturing technologies and the complex processes behind the production of power and telecom cables. Your engineering solutions will directly contribute to the performance, reliability, and innovation of Prysmian’s manufacturing operations worldwide.





Developing a comprehensive understanding of the various technologies and processes involved in cable manufacturing. Translating complex production requirements into effective electrical and automation solutions. Designing systems that combine simplicity, robustness, reliability, and technological innovation.

Successfully navigating different manufacturing environments and operational contexts across international sites. Deliver reliable, efficient, and cost-effective electrical design solutions. Balance innovation with practicality, ensuring high standards of performance and maintainability.

Build strong relationships across functions, suppliers, and manufacturing sites. Adapt effectively to diverse production environments and business needs. We are looking for a passionate engineer who is eager to build a long-term technical career within a global industrial leader.

Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics At least five to seven years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the Industrial sector. Training will be provided if necessary. Similar role does not mean an experience in a Company manufacturing cables ; similar role mean an experience in process automation whatever has been the final product of the Company of the previous activity .

English Proficiency

Good communication, negotiation and team working skills. Management of inter-departmental and multicultural relations,
