Okatim Italy is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer – Hardening to join one of our clients in the defense and aerospace sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and validating the hardening of operating systems, network devices, and OSS/COTS components in line with the company’s cybersecurity standards. You will select the appropriate hardening guides, define the required configurations, and implement them by developing scripts, configuration files, and other automation assets.

You will work with technologies such as NESSUS, Shell, AIDE, fapolicyd, ClamAV, and Falco, as well as contribute to license management, system integration, firewall configuration, IAM integration, and log management.

Your responsibilities will also include developing scripts to assess the hardening status of operating systems, network equipment, and OSS/COTS components,



ensuring compliance with the selected hardening guidelines.

In addition, you will configure solutions for security event collection, storage, and monitoring, using tools such as FluentBit, OpenTelemetry, Loki, and Grafana where applicable.

Finally, you will define test cases, contribute to requirements traceability, develop the scripts and tools needed for testing, execute test campaigns, and report the results.

Location: Fully remote.
