Chaberton Professionals, a division of Chaberton Partners dedicated to the research and selection of Middle & Top Management profiles, is currently looking for an Associate for a Strategy Consulting Firm.

Position The Candidate will join the Performance Improvement Practice, CFO Services.

- Lead finance transformation and CFO advisory engagements, driving sustainable EBITDA improvement, cash flow enhancement, working capital optimization, and finance function effectiveness.
- Advise clients on finance performance improvement initiatives, including FP&A; transformation, management reporting enhancement, budgeting and forecasting processes, cost transparency, and finance operating model redesign.
- Design and implement finance operating models and processes.
- Lead business planning, financial performance management, and enterprise-wide planning transformations, including KPI frameworks, dashboard development, and decision-support capabilities.
- Manage finance due diligence, finance function assessments, and performance improvement reviews for corporate and private equity clients across buy side and sell side transactions.
- Lead finance workstreams in carve-outs, post-merger integrations, and separation programmes, supporting portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle.




- Support value creation programmes by identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, working capital, cash management, reporting quality, governance, and overall financial performance.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in a management consulting firm, transaction advisory practice, CFO advisory, or finance transformation environment.
- Track record leading complex finance transformation, CFO advisory, performance improvement, or finance integration/separation engagements.
- Understanding of finance functions and processes, including FP&A;, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Treasury, Working Capital Management, and Finance Operating Models.
- Experience supporting private equity portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle, including acquisitions, value creation, carve-outs, post-merger integrations, and exit readiness.
- Analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and international consulting environment.
- Fluent in English.

Location : Milan Salary Range : Base 55.000 € - 65.000 €
