This Milan-based role focuses on the growing energy transition and renewable energy projects in Italy, and will help create a unified power?systems design and technical advisory service for the region.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop business and contribute to winning work related to integrated energy systems in Italy, acting as the main point of contact for the delivery of Arup's energy design and technical advisory services.
/li liLiaise with clients to understand their needs and propose creative and technically sound solutions, acting as bid manager for identified opportunities.
/li liProvide technical leadership and project?management skills in the delivery of projects ranging from grid studies, interconnection design, and the integration of energy generation, transmission, distribution, storage and consumption, acting as project manager and overseeing delivery by colleagues in Italy, Europe and the UK as well as local sub?consultants.
/li liContribute to HV power projects within the Data Centre business.
/li liGrow HV and renewable generation and storage design skills within Arup Italia through recruitment and up?skilling of colleagues.
/li liAct as ambassador for Arup in the energy transition, attending industry events to build relationships and maintain market?leading knowledge in emerging decarbonisation solutions.
/li liEngage with clients and attend industry events to build relationships.
/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liA degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
/li li+10 years of relevant experience working on high?voltage (HV) electrical systems, substations, renewables and BESS design,
energy systems integration and energy infrastructure projects in Italy.
/li liSufficient technical expertise in HV, renewables and storage design to understand clients' needs, and oversee and take responsibility for project delivery by internal or external specialists.
/li liExperience and willingness to develop the Energy business in Italy, creating new clients and winning projects.
/li liProven experience in project management and technical leadership on grid connection projects.
/li liStrong knowledge of the Italian HV transmission and distribution systems, including renewable generation and interconnections.
/li liFluent in Italian and English.
/li liExcellent communication and client engagement skills.
/li liWillingness to travel and work on?site in Italy and across Europe when needed.
/li /ul h3Bonus Points /h3 ul liExperience/understanding of power system analysis and delivery of power systems studies in software packages such as DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, PSS/E, IPSA, ETAP, PSCAD, EMTP?ATP, ERACS and SKM.

/li liTransformer design and rating calculations.
/li liSystem losses calculations.
