Senior Manager, Italy Chief Risk Officer, Technology Risk
In this role, you will strengthen the 2nd Line of Defense for Technology Risk across the Italian market, shaping risk governance and reporting. You’ll partner with 2LOD teams to align technology risk metrics with the enterprise framework and serve as the main contact for regulators, audits, and LE leadership. You’ll influence policies, support deployment of risk programs, and oversee remediation in collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Contribute to RAF refresh and align LE Technology Risk metrics with Enterprise where possible
Coordinate with 2LOD teams to challenge 1LOD risk activities at the international level
Represent Technology Risk for LE regulator, Audit, and LE leadership communications
Join LE board meetings as Technology Risk representative when required
Contribute to LE Technology Risk policies to meet Italian requirements
Influence Enterprise Technology Risk Frameworks for LE deployment
Advise business on applying Technology Risk frameworks effectively
Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Lead on 2nd Line testing, risk assessments, and risk appetite reviews
Communicate risks between ILE and Enterprise effectively
Support the ILE CRO's oversight and remediation review of Technology Risks
Lead 2nd Line oversight for Regulatory Change Management related to Technology Risk
Develop LE metrics dashboards aligned with regulatory requirements
Perform second level reviews of IT/IS/Data/AI/Business Disruption risk questionnaires for Regulators
Participate in incident communication channels for regulatory notifications (e.g., DORA)
5+ years of leadership in risk management or similar
Strong business acumen with risk–reward perspective
Experience interacting with regulators and Italian regulatory familiarity
Knowledge of Italian and EU regulatory landscape (technology, data, cybersecurity, resilience, AI risk) including FCA/PRA, DORA, GDPR, EU AI Act, Italian AI Regulation Framework
Understanding of risk assessment methodologies and industry standards
Experience with GRC tools (e.g. Archer / ServiceNow)
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
Fluency in English and Italian
Advanced degree in business, economics, engineering, or related field preferred
Industry certifications in cybersecurity, operational resilience, BCM, DR or AI risk management preferred
Strong leadership, relationship management, and communication skills
Eligibility to work in Italy without sponsorship
