ppRINA is currently recruiting for an Italy Food Certification Business Development Manager to join its office in Casalecchio di Reno, italy within the Mediterranean Africa Certification Division.
/ph3Mission /h3pThe mission of a Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive growth and expand business opportunities for the organization.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for increase pipepeline offering and winning contract for an assigned services portfolio and/or within assigned geographical coverage.
/ph3Key Accountabilities /h3ulliDrive and Monitor Order Intake Pipeline: /liliManage the sales pipeline, ensuring a steady flow of orders.
/liliMonitor and analyze key performance indicators related to order intake.
/liliUpdate Pipeline with New Prospects: /liliIdentify and add new potential clients to the sales pipeline.
/liliConduct research to identify prospects and assess their fit with the organization's offerings.
/liliLead and Support on Contracts, Tenders, and Quotations: /liliTake a proactive role in negotiating and securing major contracts.
/liliProvide support in preparing tenders and quotations.
/liliContract Closing and Lessons Learned: /liliLead activities to close contracts successfully.
/liliCapture lessons learned from completed contracts to improve future processes.
/liliCross Selling and Mutual Opportunities: /liliCollaborate with different departments within the organization to identify cross-selling opportunities.
/liliDevelop strategies to leverage mutual opportunities across the RINA Group.
/liliCompetitor Tracking and Intelligence: /liliMonitor competitor activities and provide updates on industry trends and intelligence.
/liliUse competitor information to adapt and improve the organization's strategies.
/liliSales and Business Development Initiatives: /liliFocus on generating new sales and business opportunities.




/liliConduct client visits and manage relationships with current and potential customers.
/liliAlliances and Partnerships: /liliIdentify and explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships.
/liliCollaborate with external organizations to enter new markets and expand business reach.
/liliCustomer Engagement and Satisfaction: /liliEngage with current and potential customers to understand their needs and requirements.
/liliSupport the focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business, and the development of new markets.
/liliStay Current with Offerings and Technology Solutions: /liliStay updated on the organization's current and future offerings.
/liliUnderstand and communicate technological solutions to customers.
/li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliSubstantial experience in business development, sales, or related roles is a key requirement.
/liliBusiness Development Managers may be expected to have 4 years or more of relevant experience.
/liliProficient in sales techniques, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
Business Development Managers should have a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
/liliStrong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors.
/liliAnalytical thinking to assess market trends, competitor activities and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
/liliIn-depth knowledge of the food industry, market trends,



and competitive landscape to make informed business decisions.
/liliFamiliarity with relevant technologies and tools, including CRM systems, to streamline business development processes.
/liliRequired willingness to travel frequently for business trips.
/li /ulh3Education /h3pBachelor's Degree in Food Science/Agribusiness (Agriculture, Food Technology, Biology, Forestry, Chemistry, Animal Science, Veterinary Science) /ppPreferred requirement: knowledge of economics and financial principles /ph3Compensation Data /h3pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480).
/ppThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between € ****** and € ****** and will be finally defined on candidate's professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role.
/ppIn addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
