We are looking for an experienced SEO / GEO content writer / editor with strong knowledge of the pet care space to join the team as a SEO Editor for PDG Media. This role will see the candidate write, edit, and publish SEO content across a portfolio of publications.

This editor will commission SEO-optimised, high-quality editorial content for a range of internal and external publications, manage freelance writers, liaise with clients, build content calendars, and support our wider publishing team with the launch of an exciting new publication in the pet food space.

A passion for pets is crucial -- in an ideal world, you'll be a cat mum or dog dad yourself. We have a huge need at the agency to tap into a strong understanding of the pet care space and how it operates with regards to influencers, nutritionists, dog/cat groomers, and plenty more.

Experience with traditional SEO is crucial, while a strong understanding of how search is changing with regards to AI is of course necessary. Finally, you will be expected to be both highly organised and comfortable speaking to multiple sources,



as well as building a network of trusted experts within the pet food / pet care industry.

This role is perfect for someone looking to take their next step as an editor with a few years’ experience working in SEO -- with plenty of autonomy and ownership to truly lead the content strategy for one of our biggest clients.

This is a full-time, permanent, remote position, open to anyone based in Europe or the UK.

Responsibilities:

As part of the PDG Media team, you will report into the Group COO to:

Draft and edit insightful, SEO-optimised industry content for our clients
Regularly analyse content trends around pet food / pet care to keep your finger on the pulse of the industry
Commission content from freelance writers on a regular basis to get ahead
Ideate based on keyword gaps for our audience (experience with Semrush/Ahrefs or similar will be a huge plus)
