Okatim is looking for an IT Technical Expert VMware for one of our clients in the defence and aerospace sector.

The role is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing VMware virtualization solutions within the client's IT infrastructure. You will support a VMware environment of around 300 virtual machines, ensuring its availability, performance, and growth while providing Level 3 technical support.

Your responsibilities include managing VMware Horizon 8, provisioning virtual machines, performing P2V migrations, and deploying and configuring VMware NSX 4.2. You will also develop and maintain automation and scripting using VMware Aria Suite, PowerShell, and PowerCLI, and support SQL integration when required.

In addition, you will manage the Disaster Recovery solution by preparing DRP documentation, coordinating recovery tests,



and ensuring recovery procedures are reliable and effective. The role also includes troubleshooting complex VMware environments, optimizing system performance, and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures.

Working closely with project managers and infrastructure teams, you will design VMware solutions based on VMware best practices, provide technical reporting, and support technologies such as NSX, vSAN, Aria Suite, Citrix, and VDA.

This is a hybrid position based in Rome.
