We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Contract Recruiter for one of our members to lead full-cycle recruiting efforts for a variety of manufacturing and skilled positions. The duration for this position is appx. 8 months.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys creating recruiting strategies, building talent pipelines, and partnering closely with operations leaders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Summary
The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process for hourly manufacturing and skilled trades positions. This individual will work onsite, partnering with plant leadership to develop and execute recruiting strategies that support workforce growth while balancing direct hire recruiting efforts with agency partnerships.
The ideal candidate will bring experience supporting manufacturing recruitment, within a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment , and will be comfortable working independently while helping shape the facility's hiring plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting from requisition creation through onboarding
- Develop effective working relationships with search firm, placement agencies, colleges, universities technical schools, job fairs, etc.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill automotive manufacturing positions.
- Support and manage relationships with staffing agencies while increasing direct hire recruiting efforts
- Monitor recruiting metrics and provide updates on hiring progress
- Utilize ATS system to track candidates and manage hiring activity
- Coordinate interviews, plant tours, and candidate assessments
- Guide candidates through the hiring process and maintain a positive candidate experience
- Partner with plant leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop recruiting plans
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of federal, state and local interviewing, employment and recruiting laws.
- Time management, organization and documentation skills.
- Has the ability to sell, influence, negotiate and collaborate.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Requires the ability to adapt to change and new priorities.
- Requires objectivity when making decisions.
