Google Cloud Platform Architect at BairesDev
In this role, you'll support an AI-driven mainframe modernization practice, where legacy COBOL systems are converted into specs and regenerated in Java, Go, or .NET on GCP. Beyond deep platform architecture skills, you'll bring the business-level understanding of why mainframe systems are critical, pairing technical expertise with stakeholder-level communication in a client-facing consulting environment.

What You'll Do:
- Architect and lead application modernization initiatives, re-architecting legacy and mainframe-class systems into modern cloud platforms.
- Design data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
- Communicate with client stakeholders to understand and articulate the business criticality of legacy systems being modernized.
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP-based environment.
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture with GCP.
- Proven experience in application modernization, re-architecting legacy or mainframe-class systems into Java, Go, or .NET on modern cloud platforms.
- Strong background in data architecture on GCP including BigQuery and data pipeline design.
- Consulting or professional services background with project-based, client-facin
