Role Overview
Part of our Entertainment team on our Ocean vessels, the Cruise Director is the voice & face of the vessel and is responsible for delivering exciting events and culturally emersed programs tailored to Viking guests.
The Cruise Director reports to the Hotel General Manager.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and coach all members of the entertainment team and monitor their performance. Direct reports are the Assistant Cruise Director, Broadcast manager and Stage Manager.
Ensure that all events and programs are brand aligned and run in a smooth, efficient, and timely manner.
Host and act as Master of Ceremonies, make announcement on the PA System and all other guest related onboard communication regarding safety as well as conducting Port Talks in conjunction with the Shore Ex Manager in the theatre.
Demonstrate the ability to create a 45 – 50-minute Variety Performance in which most of the Entertainment Department participates; have a 45 – 60-minute Stage Performance and repertoire suitable and aligned to the Viking Brand.
Positively contribute to achieving/succeeding Entertainment KPI goals (quality & financial) for the Entertainment Department; have full knowledge about safety & security procedures and can operate in line with all Public Health, Environmental and Safety & Security Policies; participate in all training concerning onboard training, safety & security, fire prev
