Team Overview and Job Responsibilities
Within Operations, in the Investment and Engineering Group, the Process and Machinery Engineering Manager is responsible for analyzing and validating project proposals received from affiliates/plants at the international level. The manager will actively drive project execution, ensuring effective management of both technical and organizational aspects; lead and facilitate technical discussions with suppliers and affiliates to foster alignment and collaboration; liaise with internal customers (affiliates) to understand their needs; communicate and coordinate with local teams, plant managers, and other involved functions; assist local teams in managing and resolving issues by providing guidance and transferring knowledge from other plants; identify best practices to be adopted at group level through extended benchmarking on specific and critical processes/methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the main technical characteristics of equipment necessary to implement investments supporting Prysmian strategy.




- Define timing and budget of projects to be evaluated/approved.
- Coordinate all steps from project definition to commissioning and startup of equipment.
- Support all affiliates in solving issues on process and machinery.

Qualifications
- Over ten years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the industrial sector.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
- English proficiency and Italian mother-tongue.
- CAD design experience (plus).
- On-field (plant) experience (plus).
- Good communication, negotiation and team-working skills.
- Ability to understand the context of the work environment.
- Experience managing inter-departmental and multicultural relations.
- Ability to identify potential problems, propose solutions and involve colleagues in developing solutions.
- Availability to travel.
- Training will be provided if necessary.
