Responsibilities Define the commodity strategy, analyze industry and its demand trends, develop and implement sourcing strategies. Manage supplier panel relationships and performance, resolving issues and concerns. Source new suppliers within the domain.



Act as the purchasing interface of the project and engineering during the development phase from supplier nomination up to start of production. Manage contract relationships and negotiate with suppliers during bids. Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Research and identify prospective suppliers. Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements. Perform financial reporting. The buyer responsibilities include sourcing new suppliers at the best QCDP (quality compliance, cost standards and delays) and meeting program price target, negotiating purchase terms, and evaluating supplier performance. To be successful as an energy buyer, you should be able to develop efficient procurement solutions and support the purchasing manager with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
