OT Systems Engineer

The OT Systems Engineer supports the design, implementation, and operation of secure, resilient systems infrastructure for hyperscale data centre OT environments in Siziano, Milan. The role focuses on Operational Technology systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and other critical site infrastructure.
Working closely with internal technology, engineering, operations, and vendor teams, you will help maintain system performance, reliability, and security while supporting troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement in a high-availability environment. This is a hands-on, site-based role requiring regular presence across local data centre sites in the Siziano/Milan area.

Deploy, configure, maintain, and optimise OT systems infrastructure across critical data centre environments.
Support Windows, Linux, VMware, and virtualised platforms to maintain performance, resilience, security, and service continuity.
Monitor system performance, identify issues or bottlenecks,



and implement improvements to support high availability.
Troubleshoot complex incidents, work with internal teams and vendors, and help drive root cause resolution and preventive actions.
Support monitoring, patching, backup, maintenance, and documentation activities across OT systems.
Apply security, operational, and regulatory best practices in a high-availability environments.
Experience as a Systems Engineer in an enterprise, critical infrastructure, or data centre environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, VMware-based virtualisation, and secure, high-availability infrastructure.
Familiarity with OT systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HMIs would be an advantage.
Knowledge of SAN technologies, backup solutions, infrastructure cabling, Azure/cloud infrastructure, or relevant Microsoft/VMware certifications would be beneficial.
