Overview Leonardo is an international industrial group active in Aerospace, Defense and Security, with a strong presence in Italy and worldwide. Within the Aircraft Technologies & Systems Unit, we are looking for an Environmental Control System, Fire Protection and Ice Protection Engineer for the offices in Torino, Venegono Superiore (VA) and Pomigliano D'Arco (NA). The successful candidate will be part of the ECS, Ice Protection and Crew Systems unit and will contribute to the Airlifters program engineering activities in the following disciplinary areas: environmental control systems, thermal comfort and pressurization management; thermal integration of electrical and avionic equipment and cooling and ventilation systems; fire detection and protection systems; ice detection and protection systems; oxygen systems.
Responsibilities Definition, analysis and development of requirements.
Development of functional analyses and definition of system architectures.
Development of thermofluid dynamic simulation models (lumped parameter, one-dimensional and three-dimensional - CFD).




Definition of integration requirements and related analyses; support for system and equipment installation.
Performance analysis.
Development of supply specifications for systems and equipment, equipment engineering and technical management of suppliers.
Definition of verification and validation methods and test requirements; support for the execution of experimental activities.
Definition of qualification and certification requirements, demonstration methods and preparation of compliance documentation.
Analysis of in-service problems and troubleshooting.
Contributions to the drafting of technical publications.
Education and qualifications Master's degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, preferably with a fluid dynamics and heat transfer specialization.
