We are looking for an ambitious Associate Category Manager to join the eBay Live Category team. In this role, you will support the Category Lead in driving growth across key Collectibles verticals. You will help complete category strategies, support seller growth initiatives, coordinate programming activities, and use data insights to improve business performance. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop expertise in live commerce while working at the intersection of category management, seller engagement, content programming, and business analytics.
You will work closely with Category Management, Account Management, Business Development, Programming, Marketing,
and Operations teams to deliver outstanding live shopping experiences and speed up category growth.
Your Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day management and performance of assigned categories. Identify category trends, market opportunities, and competitive insights to support business planning.
- Partner with Programming teams to optimize category calendars, event scheduling, promotional activities, and tentpole events.
- Partner with sellers to boost event performance, consistency, and engagement.
- Monitor category benchmarks including GMV, seller efficiency, buyer engagement, retention, and growth metrics. Use data and insights to find opportunities for category and seller performance improvement.
- Partner closely with Business Development to identify and recruit new sellers and brands.
