AEC is an automotive solutions company and the official importer of GM vehicles into Europe. We are now looking for an Accountant (m/f/d) to join our team in Turin and take ownership of daily accounting operations in a fast-moving international business, reporting directly to Global Finance Director.

YOUR ROLE:

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage full-cycle accounting for the Italian entity, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets
- Record and reconcile bank transactions and monthly cash positions
- Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other adjusting entries
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Reconcile intercompany transactions with parent company and other group entities
- Prepare VAT returns, Intrastat reports, and other local statutory filings (in compliance with Italian regulations)
- Support local payroll processing and related accounting entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Assist with local audits and coordinate with external advisors
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and group accounting policies
- Provide administrative and financial support to the subsidiary management team

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience





- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a general accountant or senior accounting role
- Experience working in a subsidiary of an international group or in a multinational environment preferred
- Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., TeamSystem, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- Prior experience managing local tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax filings, etc.) is highly desirable
