DC IT Technical Leader

- Integrate the Data‑Center (DC) team within the Infrastructure group to support OVHcloud’s growth by scaling, deploying, operating and managing both IT‑ and Infra‑related activities (Upgrade, Run, Co‑location).
- Lead a mixed team of DC Technicians (IT & Infrastructure) while acting as the direct report to the DCM and member of the DU SteerCo.
- Promote a proactive safety culture, ensuring all Group and local safety processes are communicated, applied and monitored inside the data centre.

Your main responsibilities :

- Lead, track and follow individual and team technical performance; define KPIs, dashboards and weekly reporting (HSE, SLA, WIP, RCB, LTTC, stock, contracts).
- Develop and enhance DC standards by spreading technical knowledge, best‑practice documentation and cross‑training between IT and Infra technicians (e.g., rack installation, cooling).
- Organise, schedule and forecast Upgrade, Run and Infrastructure activities; manage workload based on server flow, alerts, incidents, change‑management and post‑mortem processes.
- Coordinate shift planning, stock reduction, ordering and liaison with Store‑keeper and Stock Coordinator to align inventory with RUN/Upgrade trends.
- Supervise the set‑up and implementation of new equipment, electrical, cooling and building requirements; ensure technicians have the necessary expertise.
- Drive operational and crisis‑management processes, collaborating with RUN, Upgrade, Infra, Safety, DCOPS and other transversal teams.
- Identify, propose and implement process improvements; participate in Domain Review actions and support audit/compliance visits.
- Maintain high‑level hardware competence (servers, networking, HVAC/CVC) and use appropriate tools for activity planning, scheduling and KPI reporting.

- You will have fully integrated into the Infrastructure group and mastered the overall DC architecture in Milan.
- You will be autonomous in prioritising and handling Upgrade/Run incidents and will actively participate in on‑call rotations.
- You will have begun documenting post‑incident reviews and driving the first stock‑reduction initiatives.

And in 1 year

- You will be a key driver of automation and industrialisation of Upgrade and Run processes, reducing operational load.
- Your improvement proposals (resilience, performance, KPI‑based dashboards) will be live and measurable across the site.
- You will be recognised as the technical reference for cross‑skill development, crisis management and best‑practice dissemination within the DC ecosystem.

Skills required :

- You possess solid knowledge of Unix/Linux internals and strong networking fundamentals.
- You master scripting and programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, Perl) and are familiar with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- You have proven experience in operating distributed systems and a good understanding of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- You understand CI/CD/CA pipelines and the associated tooling.
- You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, autonomy and a proactive attitude to solve complex, large‑scale infrastructure problems.
- You bring high‑level hardware expertise, including server, networking, HVAC/CVC knowledge.
- You excel at planning, scheduling and KPI reporting, using dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
- You show excellent leadership, communication and team‑building abilities, capable of making quick decisions in crisis situations.

That's a plus :

- Experience with data‑pipeline and messaging systems (Redis, Kafka).
- Hands‑on knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and VXLAN.

Starting salary : 30K€ + 5%
