Professional Specialist: /li liActs as a professional specialist, applying in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industryconcepts. /li liKeeps abreast of new developments and recommends changes to surveying processes and safetyprograms. /li li2. Inspection and Reporting: /li liConducts routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements. /li liPrepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys. /li li3. Leadership and Coordination: /li liPlans, schedules, and coordinates various phases of surveying work. /li liMonitors the quality of service, providing guidance to less experienced surveyors. /li li4. Client Interaction: /li liEngages with clients to solve problems within the area of expertise. /li liEnsures client satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of issues. /li li5. Training and Development: /li liProvides guidance, and training to less experienced surveyors. /li liContributes to the development and improvement of the skills and knowledge of the surveying team. /li li6. Quality Assurance: /li liEnsures the maintenance of quality, content, consistency, and continuity of work performed. /li li7. Ethical Conduct: /li liUphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes. /li /ul h3bEducation /b /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering /p h3bQualifications /b /h3 ul liIn general, minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Surveyor or minimum 6 years’ experience in the engineering or inspection/survey fields with an IACS member Classification Society.
/li liUnderstanding of RINA strategic technical positioning in the sector of the marine industry /li liProficiency in the English language commensurate with the scope of classification, statutory certification, related services and, before assignment, with their future work. /li liAbility to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the RINA Employee Safety Policy. /li liAbility to understand engineering plans and have knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations. /li liAbility, in general, to perform either, /li li1) new building surveys: /li li− to assess the suitability of certified materials and products supplied for the new building, /li li− to assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been built in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory inspections, tests and trials, /li li− to issue Certificates, Reports, Records and Status in compliance with rules and regulations. /li liAnd/or: /li li2) ship in service surveys: /li li− to assess that hull, machinery and equipment have been maintained in compliance with rules and regulations by means of compulsory overall inspections, tests and trials, /li li− to assess and follow-up the repair works to hull, machinery and equipment to assign a new period of class and a new period of validity to statutory Certificates in compliance with rules and regulations by means of overall and close-up inspections, verification upon dismantling, tests and trials (including surveys for Admission to Class of ships in service), /li li− to attend major conversion works according with rules and regulations, /li li− to identify the deficiencies to be rectified (if any) and assess whether immediate repair is necessary or a condition may be issued with an appropriate due date, /li li− to follow-up as required by rules and regulations any repair work or due to previous outstanding conditions, /li li− to assess whether the deficiencies identified (if any) may be linked with potential failure of the Ship Management System, /li li− to endorse Certificates,
