We design intelligent, capable machines that work alongside people in real-world environments — developed in Genova, Italy.RoleWe are looking for a hands?on Mechanical Technician to support the assembly, integration, testing, and validation of our robotic systems and platforms.
Working closely with Mechanical Designers and Engineering teams, you will build, modify, and troubleshoot mechanical and mechatronic assemblies, contributing to the development of humanoid robot prototypes and production units.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and integrate robotic systems, platforms, mechanical subassemblies and componentsSupport the build, validation, and continuous improvement of prototypes and production unitsRead and interpret technical drawings, CAD-derived documentation, and assembly instructionsPerform mechanical fitting, adjustments, rework, and component modifications during development and production activitiesTroubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues, supporting root?cause analysis and corrective actionsSupport testing, commissioning, and validation activities for robotic systems and assembliesIdentify assembly and manufacturability issues, providing feedback to Mechanical Designers and Engineering teamsDocument assembly procedures, modifications, and technical findingsMaintain tools, fixtures, workstations, and test equipmentEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standardsRequirementsTechnical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or equivalent technical background3-5 years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, robotics, automation,
or similar technical environmentsHands?on experience assembling complex mechanical or mechatronic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and engineering documentationGood understanding of mechanical assemblies, machine elements, and manufacturing processesExperience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or electromechanical issuesStrong manual skills, attention to detail, and problem?solving capabilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamAvailability to travel nationally and internationally is expectedAvailability to work on shiftsValued ExtrasExperience with simulation and analysis tools (ANSYS, MATLAB, Simulink or equivalent) for FEA, dynamic simulation, or tolerance analysisPrevious exposure to robotics projects (academic, competition, or professional), particularly involving actuators, sensors, or locomotion systemsFamiliarity with electromechanical integration concepts: motors, motor drivers, encoders, force/torque sensorsAdvanced Materials: Experience with lightweight materials (composites, alluminium alloys) and structural optimization for weight?sensitive applicationsContributions to open?source robotics projects or a personal portfolio of mechanical design workWe OfferExperience with robotic systems and platforms, automated machinery, or complex mechatronic productsKnowledge of electrical systems, cabling, sensors, actuators, or industrial automation equipmentExperience with prototype assembly, commissioning, testing, or product validation activitiesFamiliarity with Linux?based systems and technical software toolsDisclaimerWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
