ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bJunior Engineer - High Temperatures Technologies /b to join its office in Rome within the bMechanical and Materials Engineering /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe Junior High Temperature Thermodynamics and Technologies Engineer applies advanced thermodynamic and physical chemistry principles to design, model, and optimize high-temperature industrial processes. In practice, the engineer develops and validates process simulations, defines thermal and material balances, and evaluates reaction kinetics and heat transfer mechanisms. They identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, optimize furnace or reactor performance, and enhance product quality. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 h3High Temperature Technologies – Project Technical Delivery /h3 ul liDevelop and maintain project schedules and deliverable timelines under the guidance of consultants and engineers. /li liMonitor, analyze, and improve process performance through data-driven evaluation of operational parameters. /li liImplement modifications to equipment, systems, or operating parameters to enhance technical performance and reliability. /li liPrepare high-quality project deliverables, including technical reports, process documentation, and engineering drawings. /li /ul h3High Temperature Thermodynamics – Research, Analysis Process Optimization /h3 ul liConduct in-depth thermodynamic analyses of high-temperature processes to evaluate efficiency, reaction mechanisms, and material behavior under extreme conditions. /li liDevelop and apply advanced modeling and simulation tools to optimize thermal and energy performance. /li liCollaborate with RD teams to translate thermodynamic insights into practical engineering solutions for industrial applications.
/li /ul h3People Team Collaboration /h3 ul liSupport internal teams and external consultants with technical input, documentation, and data collection for permit applications and regulatory submissions. /li /ul h3Quality, Compliance Continuous Improvement /h3 ul liEnsure all assigned activities are executed in full compliance with RINA’s Quality Management System (QMS), policies, and procedures. /li liMaintain high standards of accuracy, consistency, and traceability in project documentation and deliverables. /li liIdentify and report potential non-conformities or improvement opportunities within projects and workflows. /li liSupport continuous improvement initiatives by sharing lessons learned and contributing to the refinement of internal methodologies and tools. /li /ul h3Reporting Communication /h3 ul liDraft and review technical documentation, reports, and correspondence to ensure clarity and completeness. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Energy Engineering or Materials Science /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul li0-3 years of experience in energy science, thermodynamic modeling or related RD/industrial activities. /li liKnowledge of energy and thermodynamic modeling, particularly in high-temperature technologies. /li liAnalytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail /li liProficiency with thermodynamic modeling tools/software is a plus. /li liAbility to work effectively in a team and to communicate in English (both written and spoken). /li liFluency in Italian (minimum C1 level)
