Lead the design and development of scalable, backend APIs and services that integrate with cloud services, with a focus on IBM Cloud
Guide the evolution of Sysdig's managed service capabilities in cloud environments, specifically IBM Cloud
Influence long‑term architecture and technical direction for Sysdig's integrations with IBM Cloud (IAM, authn/authz, service-to-service patterns, resiliency)
Champion quality, simplicity, and clarity in system design, API design, and data modeling




Experience designing and building distributed backend systems and APIs (data‑heavy or high‑throughput systems are a plus)
Experience with cloud fundamentals (compute, networking, identity, security), with the ability to ramp quickly on IBM Cloud specifics
IBM Cloud IAM experience is a plus
Good grasp of SaaS operations and Kubernetes (deployments, scaling, observability and incident‑response mindset)
Development experience in Java, Go, or similar languages
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL data stores (e.g., Postgres plus other database systems)
Understanding of API best practices: versioning, backward compatibility, consistency, and access control
We appreciate interest in Cloud Security (CSPM/CDR/CIEM), but do not require it.
Proficiency with standard engineering tools (CI/CD pipelines, version control, containerization)
The annual compensation range for this full‑time position is between €59,000 and €74,000. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on a variety of factors, including your work location, job‑related experience and education.
