Scope of Position:Safety Engineering role supporting Applied Materials’ R&D; and manufacturing operationsWork closely with site management in R&D; and manufacturing and other EHS staff to drive Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, ensure regulatory compliance and promote continuous improvementEnsures compliance with required EHS codes, standards and regulations.



Act as a liaison with local, regional or national regulatory authoritiesEHS Training capabilities & experience conducting training for employees and managementEnsures proper investigations of EHS incidents conducted and drive corrective actions to closureProvides management with updates and escalation on projects/programs. Maintain communication channel with site/location functionsInterfaces with internal stakeholders regarding EHS aspects with ability to work with cross functional teams to accomplish goals and objectivesManage consultants/contractors used to support the EHS programs including development of scopes of work, project management and budget management.
