Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a Permitting Specialist to join our dynamic environmental team in Italy, contributing to a portfolio of impactful and innovative projects at both local and international levels.At Jacobs, you’ll have the opportunity to build and refine your specialist expertise through a combination of structured training programs and close collaboration with a diverse network of professionals, including engineers, geologists, and chemists, within a truly global and inclusive environment.In this role, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of project managers, auditors, scientists, engineers, and planners. Through ongoing collaboration and communication, you will play a key role in delivering successful outcomes for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:Contribute to the development of environmental projects across all stages of the project lifecycle, leveraging your expertise to add value and drive high-quality outcomesProvide technical support to the Milan team across a range of environmental services, including permitting and planning, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, due diligence reviews,



and compliance auditsSupport initiatives related to energy transition and climate-focused projectsEnsure adherence to company standards and procedures in quality, environmental management, sustainability, and health & safetyActively contribute to and promote key company values, including technical excellence, innovation, sustainability, health and safety, and inclusion and diversityApproach assigned tasks with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues and project stakeholders
Here's what you'll need
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related discipline1-5 years of experience in environmental consultancy/permitting sectorSolid understanding of key environmental permitting regulations (e.g., AIA, AUA, VIA)Good knowledge of core EHS regulations and sustainability principlesStrong data management and reporting capabilitiesFluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities, remain adaptable, and work independentlyStrong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approachInnovative mindset with an interest in digital tools and visual communication#LI-KK2Please submit your resume in English.We know that if we are inclusive, we’re more connected, and if we are diverse, we’re more creative.
