ppWhere passion meets opportunity /p pThe best of your adventures is the one you have yet to sail! /p h3Your Purpose /h3 pThe Artwork Coordinator will support the New Building team by overseeing the end-to-end process of integrating artworks and decorative elements aboard MSC Cruises ships. This includes coordinating with artists and artwork consultants from the early conceptual design phase through to production, installation, and final delivery on board. The role also involves ensuring seamless integration with the ship’s architectural design and maintaining alignment with shipyard timelines and requirements. /p h3Your Impact /h3 ul liProduce and maintain comprehensive booklets and specifications for artworks and plants installed on board. This includes details such as dimensions, locations, material types, and quantities. /li liManage and regularly update the internal archive and the artwork tracker to ensure easy access to information. /li liAssist with the production of detailed briefs for artists and suppliers, these include technical specifications (e.g., dimensions from AutoCAD drawings, material requirements) and conceptual guidelines. /li liProduce visualizations or mock-ups of artwork concepts to communicate design ideas to stakeholders. /li liCommunicate with suppliers to assist in the development of the artworks, ensuring that technical requirements and design concepts are met. /li liEnsure that materials used for the artworks meet quality standards and that adequate fixing systems are selected. /li liSupervise the installation of artworks on board. /li liCoordinate with the warehouse team for the delivery and loading of artworks on board. /li liResearch potential suppliers and collate artwork ideas to be presented for approval.
/li liEnsure all artwork materials comply with established quality standards and are specifically suited to withstand marine conditions, including humidity, motion, and salt exposure. /li liAdvise on appropriate installation techniques and collaborate with suppliers to develop secure, marine-grade fixing systems tailored to the vessel’s specifications. /li /ul h3Your Journey so far /h3 ul liExperience working in a similar role within the interior design or architecture sectors or within the cruise industry. /li liQualification in Interior Design / Design / Art Studies / Architecture or related field /li liHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines keeping attention to details. /li /ul h3Your Essentials /h3 ul liFluent English language skills (additional languages are a plus). /li liExcellent organisation and communication skills. /li liStrong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and archiving /li liStrong IT Skills including Excel, Power-Point, Auto-cad and Photoshop. /li liAvailability to travel for mock-up reviews, factory visits, and onboard inspections /li /ul pThis opportunity offers a gross annual salary range of €30,000 - €35,000 depending on experience and relevant expertise, alongside a competitive package of additional benefits. /p pWe are committed to building a future that values diverse perspectives, embraces the world beyond borders, and fosters an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued, respected and empowered to be their authentic selves.
