OHB Italia is seeking for its “Electronic Architects Engineer” unit in Milan/Rome/Turin for immediate start anElectronic Design Engineer Ref. IAC_2026We are responsible for the Avionic and Electrical Power Subsystem architecture and the design/development of the space electronic units leading relevant engineering activities in the whole lifecycle of projects and/or products, from initial conceiving and feasibility studies, bids and proposal preparation, design and implementation, up to launch, LEOP and in orbit operations and maintenance.Your Tasks:In this role You will be in charge of covering the following tasks:Electronic Design Engineer Responsibilities & DutiesProven experience in electronic design and developmentDevelop detailed electronic schematics and layout drawingsCreate and test electronic prototypesEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsCollaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical componentsPerform simulations and analyze test data to refine designsSelect appropriate components and materials for electrical systemsTroubleshoot and resolve electronic design issuesPrepare technical documentation and user manualsParticipate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback Required Skills:Knowledge of ECSS standards and regulationsProficiency in simulation tools like MATLAB, Orcad-SPICE and Mentor Layout browserExperience with embedded systems and microcontroller programmingStrong project management skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and create detailed electronic schematicsExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and high level of accuracyYour Qualifications:You have a Master Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Physics, with explicit focus on electronic design.You are fluent in English (C1 and above certification)
both listening and reading.You have 3 years of experience in similar position.Specific knowledge:As an Electronic Systems Engineer you will take the technical lead of the system/subsystem electronic aspects for the entire lifecycle of a project. It starts by understanding the customer electronic requirements, translating them into lower board level requirements, and performing a conceptual electronics design.You will then take care of the technical steering of the electronics design team (internal/external) so that they work according to specification, planning, and cost. You will ensure there is overall technical coherence and will do the follow-up on the electronics design/development team from conceptual design to detailed implementation. You will also make sure that there is proper requirement follow-up and traceability throughout the project by reviewing the board level electronic circuits and assisting the project team during technical reviews.Finally, you will prepare and participate in system/subsystem electronic functional and performance test campaigns before handing over the system/subsystem (including proper documentation) to the client (internal/external).Nice to have qualifications:Customer focused, proactive attitudeOrganized and methodical approach to the work with strong communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks at one time, to work autonomously and in teamStrong attitude to achieve results within time and cost constraintsProblem solving attitudeElectrical backgroundAvailability to travelsExperience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, OrCADEMC backgroundFamiliarity with renewable energy technologiesPublications or patents in relevant fieldsMembership in professional organizations like IEEEThe gross annual remuneration package will be determined based on the degree of alignment between the candidate’s profile and the requirements of the role, as well as the level of professional experience acquired.
