Supply Chain NPI & R&D; Project Lead – Tempo pieno on site – Turin, Italy
Job Description
The role reports to the Supply Chain Strategy Manager and oversees the New Product Introduction and Research & Development Supply Chain activities, acting as the primary contact between Supply Chain and Program Management / Engineering offices.
- Scouting and qualifying new suppliers; requires solid technical understanding of machining processes, equipment, and manufacturing technologies.
- Manage all aspects of the project to ensure achievement of objectives, covering lifecycle from Gate 1 (Bid) to Gate 5 (OE Production).
- Execute project plans and schedules to meet business case requirements, support costing activity, define sourcing strategy with Commodities, ensure NDA coverage, handle RFQ/Negotiation, coordinate NPI Supplier Selection Review, manage PO placement and follow Customer reviews.
- Coordinate industrialization and manage supplier delivery and quality performance to meet project requirements.
- Establish and manage supplier relationships for competitive advantage.
- Identify and support initiatives to reduce cost, improve material flow, evaluate capacity, and manage material obsolescence.
- Provide day‑to‑day support to the Integrated Project Team in risk, problem resolution, and hardware achievement.
- Define, review, and track On‑Time Delivery via LOB or WIP tracker, cost adherence, release drawing and supplier technical information.
- Support engineering team in design for manufacture and design for cost.

- Degree in Engineering preferred, with focus in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3‑5 years of proven experience leading projects in delivering complex projects on time and within budget, preferably in an aerospace development context.
- Good knowledge of project management techniques, including scheduling and risk management.
- Fluent in English.
- Travel requirement: 20%–frequent international travel to suppliers, manufacturing sites and project stakeholders.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- SAP proficiency (preferred).
