Mission Description
The Supplier Performance Lead supports category strategies by developing, monitoring and executing continuous performance improvement initiatives with key strategic suppliers. The role identifies and prioritises opportunities for joint supply‑chain process and performance improvement, innovation, new technology integration and design standardisation to enhance total value. The Lead benchmarks and shares industry best practices across key suppliers and category stakeholders and manages performance standards to drive ongoing value and improvement.
Responsibilities
• Develop and manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring.
• Communicate objective performance metrics such as lead‑time reduction, on‑time delivery improvement, quality improvement and total cost of ownership.
• Identify supplier management plans and integrate supplier/procurement activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to improve technical, cost, product delivery, business and quality performance.
• Meet with suppliers to develop continuous improvement plans through Quarterly Business Reviews and/or supplier visits (travel required).
• Oversee strategy, performance and development of small‑scale suppliers, monitoring overall performance and initiating corrective action when needed.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and develop corrective/preventative actions.
• Demonstrate business acumen to craft supply‑chain solutions aligned with strategic financial objectives.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to achieve performance goals.
• Travel: Domestic and international travel up to 60%.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, or five years of related experience if a master’s is not held.
- Minimum five years of operational experience fully focused on supplier engagement within purchasing or supply‑chain roles.
- Experience with SAP and other procurement systems.
- Change‑management skills, excellent communication and active listening, and the ability to influence stakeholders at operational and executive levels.
- Conflict resolution, analytic and synthesis abilities, and strong negotiation skills.
- Capacity to make decisions in complex situations and adapt to evolving challenges.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 60% of the time.
