In this role, you will shape Avnet's global environmental product compliance strategy and steer regulatory readiness across a distributed product portfolio. You will serve as the subject matter expert, influencing decisions with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers while supporting sustainability initiatives. You will design, implement and continuously improve compliance policies and governance, staying ahead of evolving requirements. This position offers high visibility, industry engagement and potential to lead a dedicated compliance team.

- Develop and maintain global environmental product compliance policies, processes and governance frameworks
- Analyze obligations and risks with cost-benefit assessments to guide business decisions
- Act as the primary subject matter expert on environmental compliance across Avnet
- Provide guidance to internal teams, suppliers and customers on requirements and best practices
- Create and deliver training and knowledge-sharing resources to raise awareness
- Produce clear compliance communications showcasing Avnet’s programmes and capabilities
- Monitor regulatory developments, standards and customer expectations to keep policies current
- Manage third-party compliance service providers and ensure audit readiness




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align compliance with business objectives and supplier expectations
- Represent Avnet at industry forums and external events to support initiatives and market presence
- Contribute to the growth of the environmental product compliance function, including leading a specialist team
- Lead ongoing improvement of the compliance framework to support global operations
- Bachelor in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in environmental product compliance or related field
- Strong knowledge of global environmental product regulations (e.g., EPR, product safety, chemical substance compliance)
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate into practical processes
- Experience assessing compliance risks and performing cost-vantaggi analyses
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-influence skills
- Experience working across multiple regions and functions in a global organization
- Proactive, hands-on problem-solver with decision-making capabilities
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP and content management platforms; familiarity with AI-based tools
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
