Opal are the National Intelligence Unit for Serious and Organised Acquisitive Crime (SOAC) and we are growing and developing our capabilities! We seek to discover and develop intelligence from a variety of sources, highlight current and emerging crime trends, share good practice and learning, and target those causing the greatest harm to our communities. Opal report to the North Wales Chief Constable, Amanda Blakeman, who is the National Police Lead for acquisitive crime in support of the National Police Chiefs Council. This role provides the opportunity to work locally within your force area and from home; however, some travel will be required.
