We are dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and fostering diversity in all its forms, creating an inclusive environment. We value the unique experiences, knowledge, backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives of our people. By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. **THE ROLE** You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where materials scientists, electrical engineers, nanotechnologists and chemists collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Printed and Molecular Electronics Research Unit is coordinated by Mario Caironi, who has extensive experience in printed organic electronics, with a specific focus on sustainability.

The research will be part of an ambitious European research project “GRETA”, coordinated by Mario Caironi. GRETA will lay the foundation of the first green, printed and flexible organic wireless identification tag operating at Ultra-High Frequency (UHF, 300 MHz - 1 GHz). The long-term vision is to enable remote powering and readout of tags up to meters distance range, as required in logistics and security, without the need of a battery and with drastically reduced lifecycle impact and costing with respect to any available passive radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. The project sees the collaboration of 7 leading European partners. 1-Printed organic transistors for sustainable complementary logic circuits based on green materials. Specific Objectives: - Validation of the newly developed green electronic inks in printed OFETs
- Manufacture printed logic circuits with increased sustainability for the GRETA logic demonstrator (logic gates, oscillators, registers) 2-Printed and direct-written organic transistors operating at Ultra-High Frequency based on green materials. Specific Objectives: - Deliver printed electronic components necessary to rectify a UHF signals
- Validate use of green materials in printed UHF electronic components Besides the experimental work necessary to achieve the final technical results, postdoc's main responsibilities will include:

- Coordination with the project partners involved in the green UHF tag development
- Reporting of technical progresses
- Communication of results in oral and written form These open positions/research is financed by the European Innovation Council (EIC) within the project “GREEN, ORGANIC AND PRINTED ULTRA-HIGH FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TAGS” - GRETA, finance within the EIC Pathfinder Challenge “Responsible Electronics” under GA n. 101161032. **ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- A PhD in Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or Engineering (Energy, Physics, Chemistry, Materials, Electronics).
- Proven experimental expertise in solution-processed organic electronics device fabrication (mandatory).
- Solid knowledge in electrical characterization of transistors.
- Expertise in the use of inkjet printing.
- Basic knowledge of logic circuits and of high-frequency operation of transistors.
- A strong publication record in the field.
- The ability to properly report, organize and publish research data.
