UW Credit Union is growing and hiring a group of P ersonal Banker (internally known as Financial Specialists) to provide remarkable service and support our members in the Madison area. The first 12-weeks of employment for our Financial Specialists are devoted to you and your learning/training. Your role, involves understanding members' needs, offering financial education, consultative sales - making tailored recommendations to help them achieve their financial goals and dreams. As a Financial Specialist, you'll experience the meaningful impact of your assistance, guiding members through pivotal financial moments such as opening their first account, securing loans, and planning for retirement.

This Financial

Specialist training class has a start date of September 21st. Every day will be different, but below is a snapshot of what you will do: Start the day at your assigned branch location and meet with you team for a morning huddle to discuss updates and goals for the day Meet with members to learn about their financial goals and educate them on financial products and services Join the weekly 8:00 a.m. team meeting to learn about team updates, branch news,



and new products Understand all credit union products and services through training and self-guided learning tools Call members to check-in and follow-up on new account activity Partner with team members to meet the goals for product sales and referrals These skills and experiences are essential to your success: ~3+ years of customer service and/or consultative sales experience ~ Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships and provide top-notch service ~ Demonstrated experience being flexible, adaptable, coachable, and collaborative in an autonomous and constantly changing work environment ~ Proficiency with personal computer and office software ~ Must obtain and maintain Notary Public certification in accordance with state requirements 1-2 years of experience working in a financial institution or in a retail leadership role ~ Knowledge of new accounts, savings instruments, and consumer lending ~ Consultative sales experience This training class is anticipated to begin September 21st. ~ Virtual, classroom and branch training for the first 12-weeks of employment ~ On the job training at a greater Madison area branch location that will be determined by your start date ~3 hours a week dedicated to studying to pass the Credit Life Credit Disability (CLCD) Exam ~ Continuous learning and development opportunities including but not limited to transparent dialogs, resources, tools, and technical learning modules Working at UW Credit Union Why work for UW Credit Union? 21.5+ days annual paid time off ~2 weeks paid caregiver leave ~2.5 weeks paid new child parental leave ~2 days paid volunteer time ~11 paid holidays (includes your birthday!) ~Variable premio reward ~ Competitive Medical, Dental and Vision plans, including domestic partner eligibility ~ Employee Assistance Program UWCU does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for employment authorization to include, but not limited to, sponsorship or support for H-1B, F-1 OPT, TN, or other visa category. #
