11 months contract (with the possibility of contract renewal) **BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT**: The JP RWEE is a partnership initiative of FAO, IFAD, UN Women and WFP that aims to economically empower rural women in Nepal, Niger, Pacific Islands (4 countries), Rwanda, Tanzania and Tunisia. The JP RWEE focuses on four key economic empowerment outcomes: 1) improved food and nutrition security, 2) increased incomes to sustain livelihoods and build resilience, 3) enhanced leadership and participation in rural households, communities and institutions, and 4) a more gender-responsive policy environment for the economic empowerment of rural women. The implementation of the JP RWEE is overseen by an International Steering Committee (ISC), supported by a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), at global level, and by a National Steering Committee at country level. The Global Coordination Unit (JPRWEE secretariat) is responsible for the overall management, coordination and global learning of the programme, including oversight of the development and implementation of the programme’s monitoring and evaluation system, and is based in WFP’s headquarters in Rome. The MEAL Global Coordinator serves as the Global Technical Advisor for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Data Management for the Global Initiative, sits in the GCU (JPRWEE Secretatirat) and reports to the Global Coordinator.



Building on the implementation of the JP RWEE Global MEAL system initiated by this very role during the previous years, the MEAL Global Coordinator continues to lead on the enhancement, operationalization and positioning of a robust Joint Programme MEAL framework across all participating countries and globally. The role ensures that rigorous evidence on economic empowerment is generated to drive strategic decision-making, learning, accountability and programme adjustment globally. The MEAL Global Coordinator provide direct strategic oversight to five (6) country level MEAL Coordinators, providing technical guidance and supervising of their work ensuring global MEAL system is mainstreamed at country level. Collaborate closely with national teams, technical units across the Agencies at HQ level to ensure JP RWEE MEAL system supports and convey the achievements of results and strengthens the global positioning of the JP RWEE programme. **ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Continue to lead the enhancement, development and implementation of the JP RWEE Global MEAL Plan.
- Oversee the JP RWEE Management Information System (MIS), ensuring the integration of data for global aggregation, analysis and reporting.
- Provide strategic oversight of the LTA developing the global MEAL dashboards and supervise the data‑management function, ensuring high‑quality visualizations, reliable data flows, and alignment with global MEAL priorities.
