Job Responsibilities Italian Team Building & Management: Responsible for the organizational setup, recruitment, and day-to-day management of the Italy-based team. Establish a localized operation system and deliver against business targets for Italy.
Policy Research & New Product Development: Continuously monitor legislative updates and enforcement trends across the EU and its Member States, focusing on VAT, EPR (Packaging, Battery, WEEE Directives), Authorized Representative (EU/UK Rep), and product compliance (e.g., EU customs tariff reform, ViDA). Translate policy changes into new product solutions, leading the end-to-end process from policy interpretation to product design and launch.
Government Stakeholder Relations (Core Responsibility): Build and maintain regular communication channels with Italian authorities, including tax agencies, EPR registries, take-back organizations, customs, and market surveillance authorities. Represent the company in official consultations, industry hearings, and association events. Lead responses and liaisons with authorities during client tax audits or compliance investigations; formulate standard procedures and contingency plans for audit responses.
Supplier Development & Management: Source, screen, and evaluate local Italian suppliers, including tax firms, law firms, take-back organizations, and testing/certification bodies. Establish supplier onboarding, performance review, and exit mechanisms to continuously optimize service quality and cost efficiency.
BD & Channel Expansion: Develop local Italian partnership channels, including industry associations, marketplaces, logistics providers, and law firm alliances.
Enhance
KuaXinTong’s brand presence and influence in Italy’s compliance service market.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with domestic product, sales, and delivery teams. Feed real-time local Italian policy intelligence and official positions back to headquarters to support product iteration and client service delivery.
Job Requirements Educational Background: Full-time Master’s degree or above. Majors in International Trade, Finance & Taxation, International Law, Cross-border E-commerce, or related fields preferred.
Language Proficiency: CEFR C1 level or above in Italian (capable of independent business negotiation, document drafting, and government liaison). Fluency in English as a supporting working language is required. Proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus for headquarters communication.
Industry Experience: Hands-on experience in cross-border tax compliance (VAT, EPR), European market channel development, and overseas supplier management. Familiarity with compliance regulations across multiple EU Member States is highly preferred.
Professional Competencies: In-depth knowledge of the EU VAT regime, EPR regulations, and the EU Authorized Representative compliance framework. Proven ability to independently build standardized business workflows.
General Competencies: Strong cross-functional collaboration, project delivery, and cost-control capabilities. High stress tolerance with a proven track record of independently resolving overseas compliance exceptions.
Work Authorization: Must possess a valid Italian Work Permit / EU Citizenship or be eligible for immediate local employment.
