A Glass Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring machinery used in the production, processing, and finishing of glass products. The role involves following production specifications, maintaining quality standards, and working safely in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor glass production machinery and equipment.
- Load raw materials and glass components into production equipment.
- Cut, shape, polish, temper, or finish glass according to specifications.
- Inspect finished products for defects, cracks, scratches, and dimensional accuracy.
- Adjust machine settings to maintain consistent production quality.
- Perform basic equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Record production quantities, quality checks, and machine issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area.
- Work with supervisors and other production staff to meet daily targets.
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing, factory, or glass-processing experience is preferred.
- Ability to operate machinery and follow technical instructions.
- Good attention to detail and quality control.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling materials safely.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings or weekends when required.
