Job Information:

Ref #199315: Individual class for a 12-year-old

- Availability: To be confirmed. Latin lessons should take place during school time instead of art. They have a rotating schedule, so the time varies for each lesson.
- Preferred start date: September 1st
- Lesson Frequency: 3x a week
- Lesson Duration: 1h
- Student’s location/time zone: Spartanburg, SC, USA
- Preferred virtual platform: Flexible
- Current target language level: Complete beginner
- Native and other spoken languages: German - English
- Student’s language needs and goals: As a complete beginner in Latin, his main goal is to develop the language skills needed to transition smoothly into the German school system.



The long-term objective is for him to reach the required level to successfully follow the curriculum for grades 6–9 at a German Gymnasium by mid-2029.

Responsibilities:

- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
- Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency levels and desired outcomes
- Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

- To have a native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
- To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
- To have a minimum of two years of Latin teaching experience
- Experience working with children is a must.
